Basketball season is knocking, the golf program has new leadership, and the GTSwarm boards are buzzing. Here is what Jackets fans are talking about heading into the weekend.
Hoops Are Back: Providence Preseason Tip-Off
The main event on the calendar is men’s basketball’s preseason matchup against Providence, and the game thread is already filling up with lineup questions, rotation guesses, and the usual healthy dose of October optimism. If you want to see what fans expect from this group before the real games count, this is the thread to watch. Join the game thread.
Hybl Named Golf Coach
The discussion around Georgia Tech’s new golf coach, Hybl, continues to draw fan reaction and speculation about what the hire means for a program with a long tradition of success. See what fans are saying.
NIL Takes Center Stage
Two separate NIL conversations are running side by side. One breaks down college basketball NIL tiers and where programs stack up in the new financial landscape, while another digs into an interview with sports agents for a view from the people actually negotiating these deals. If you are trying to make sense of modern roster building, start here.
Fall Ball and the Numbers
Baseball fans are tracking the Fall Ball thread for early looks at the roster and who is making an impression before spring. For the data-minded, the 2026 Stat/Metrics Thread remains the place where advanced numbers get dissected all season long.
Around the Boards
A few perennial favorites round things out. Ramble’s uniform lounge is still the home for helmet, jersey, and throwback debate, the MLB Postseason Thread is handling October baseball, and the long-running What music are you listening to? thread is as active as ever for anyone building a tailgate playlist.
