Happy Monday, Jackets fans. Here’s your roundup of everything that happened around Georgia Tech athletics on Sunday, October 11, 2026 — one hard-fought volleyball match and a fan base that was very much awake and talking.
On the Court
GT Volleyball went the distance on Sunday and came up just short, dropping a five-set thriller to Miami. Five-setters are brutal on the nerves but they also tell you something about a team’s fight — the Jackets pushed this one to the brink before the final swing settled it. Around the Fan Base
The GTSwarm forums were busy on Sunday. Here’s what the community was digging into:
Over on the GTSwarm forum, the Starting 5 thread has fans trading their ideal lineups and arguing over who’s earned the nod. Classic offseason-adjacent debate fuel.
The ever-popular Ramble’s uniform lounge keeps rolling, with the uniform faithful breaking down helmet-and-jersey combos in the kind of detail only Tech fans can sustain.
Frustration is showing. The thread asking when will GT win another football game? is exactly as blunt as it sounds, with fans weighing the remaining schedule and trying to pencil in the next one in the win column.
The Should Key Go? (Poll) thread is drawing plenty of votes and plenty of strong opinions on the direction of the program. If you want a read on the mood of the fan base right now, this is the thread.
A more reflective one: I’m SAD for us (not team related) steps away from the scoreboard for a bit of off-field perspective from the community.
Coaching-detail watchers noticed a change: Godsey was up in the booth against Duke, and the thread digs into what moving him upstairs might mean for play-calling and in-game adjustments.
The Football IQ thread gets into the schematic weeds — reads, recognition, and the mental side of the game. Good one if you like your football talk a little more X-and-O.
The long-running Recruits thread remains the go-to spot for names to watch and the latest chatter on the next wave of Jackets.
Baseball fans, this one’s for you: the Fall Ball thread tracks what’s happening on the diamond this fall as the roster takes shape for the spring.

That’s the Sunday slate. It’s a tough stretch for the football program and the fan base is feeling it, but the conversation is as lively as ever — and that’s what makes this community what it is. Drop a comment with your take, and we’ll see you back here tomorrow. Go Jackets!
