College of Computing Gears Up for Fall Community Events
The College of Computing is energizing its community with two exciting events designed to bring students, faculty, staff, and alumni together. First up is the GT Computing 5K Community Walk/Run on Saturday, August 29th, taking place at Noonan Courtyard from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This annual fall tradition emphasizes both fun and wellness, welcoming participants of all fitness levels to celebrate school spirit while supporting an active lifestyle. Whether you’re a competitive runner or prefer a leisurely walk, this event offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with the Computing community.
Following this wellness initiative, the College will host its Fall Tailgate on Wednesday, September 3rd from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., also at Noonan Courtyard. This game day celebration brings together the entire GT Computing family for networking, camaraderie, and the perfect kickoff to football season traditions. It’s an excellent chance for alumni to reconnect, students to meet faculty mentors, and everyone to experience the vibrant culture that makes Georgia Tech’s computing community special.
Navy ROTC Celebrates a Century of Leadership at Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech’s Naval ROTC program is marking a remarkable milestone this fall with the Navy ROTC Centennial Conference on Saturday, October 17th. Running from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., this historic event will bring together esteemed alumni, current midshipmen, and naval leadership to reflect on 100 years of naval officer development at the Institute. The Georgia Tech Naval Technology and Strategy Conference and Centennial Dinner will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities focused on NROTC’s profound impact on military leadership, technological innovation, and service to our nation. This is a unique opportunity for alumni to share their experiences with the program and the Fleet, as well as to learn about the civilian and military contributions their fellow Jackets have made worldwide.
