Master Leadership Through Coaching: October Workshop Available
Georgia Tech is offering an innovative professional development opportunity with Leading at Tech: Change Through Coaching, scheduled for Thursday, October 1st from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. This interactive course is designed to transform the way leaders approach team development and organizational growth. Rather than simply directing others, participants will learn how coaching serves as a powerful catalyst for sustainable change within teams and organizations.
The workshop covers essential competencies including:
- Distinguishing between coaching, mentoring, and teaching—and knowing when to apply each approach
- Developing active listening and effective questioning techniques
- Implementing proven coaching strategies to enhance employee performance
- Building an organizational culture where coaching becomes a natural leadership practice

Turning Your Research Into Reality: IP Office Hours Coming September 8th
For Georgia Tech researchers with entrepreneurial ambitions, the IP and Commercialization Office Hours offer a unique opportunity to connect directly with technology transfer experts. Held on the second Tuesday of each month, the next session takes place Tuesday, September 8th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Petit Biotech Building’s Nerem Atrium.

Georgia Tech students looking to add meaningful distinction to their degree should mark their calendars for the Leaders in Progress & Service Graduation Distinction Information Session on Tuesday, September 1st at 11:00 AM. This virtual session will provide a comprehensive overview of the LP&S program, including its core goals, specific requirements, available experiences, and pathways to involvement.
The Leaders in Progress & Service distinction recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to developing as thoughtful leaders while serving their communities. This information session is particularly designed for students who haven’t yet completed a foundational course in the program, making it the perfect time to get involved and chart your path toward this prestigious graduation distinction.
