Volleyball Goes 6-0 After Dominant Georgia Tech Classic
The Georgia Tech volleyball team swept through the Georgia Tech Classic this past weekend, beating Southern Indiana (3-0), Campbell (3-1), and Xavier (3-0) to improve to a perfect 6-0 on the young season. The Jackets were strong throughout the lineup, with setter Heloise Soares surpassing 2,000 career assists during the weekend — a milestone that pushed her into fifth place in Georgia Tech’s modern-era career assists rankings. Tech now turns its attention to a Tuesday home matchup against Oklahoma in the ACC/SEC Challenge, before heading to Lincoln, Nebraska, later in the week for clashes with Baylor, New Mexico, and top-ranked Nebraska.
Football Hosts 18th-Ranked Tennessee Saturday Night
After dropping its season opener to Colorado, the Georgia Tech football team returns to Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field on Saturday to face 18th-ranked Tennessee. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN. The Vols opened their season with a win over Furman and arrive in Atlanta as a significant test for the Jackets. Tickets are still available for what promises to be a marquee early-season home game.
Men’s Golf Opens 2026-27 Season at Folds of Honor Collegiate
The 22nd-ranked Georgia Tech men’s golf team teed off Monday in Grand Haven, Michigan, at the Folds of Honor Collegiate hosted at American Dunes Golf Club. The 54-hole event, co-hosted by Michigan State and Florida State in partnership with the GCAA and Folds of Honor, features a field that includes four top-25 programs. Fans can follow along via live scoring online or catch Golf Channel’s live broadcast coverage of the tournament.
Cross Country Kicks Off Season in Acworth
Both Georgia Tech cross country squads opened the 2026-27 season last Friday at the Stan Sims XC Opener in Acworth, Georgia, with strong individual performances. On the women’s side, Claire Shelton finished second and Lottie Chappell came in fourth to lead the Jackets. Both teams finished second in the team standings at the four-mile event.
