Campus Safety Tips, Career Connections, and Entrepreneurship Week at Georgia Tech

GTPD shares campus safety tips, and a slate of alumni career events, entrepreneurship programming, and a clean-energy panel is coming up for the Georgia Tech community.

Campus Safety Tips from GTPD

The Georgia Tech Police Department is refreshing the community’s knowledge of campus safety resources. Bikes, e-scooters, and other micromobility devices count as vehicles under Georgia law, so riders should follow traffic rules, yield to pedestrians, and secure devices with a U-lock. Bike registration has moved under Parking and Transportation Services and is free, and GTPD’s online Ride Smart course earns a free helmet. The team also recommends the LiveSafe app, registering valuables, walking in well-lit areas, and using the Stingerette, the Yellow Jacket Voucher Program, or 24/7 GTPD safety escorts.
