Happy Sunday, Jackets fans! October 18 brought a big volleyball sweep, a mid-season reality check from the podcast crew, and plenty of chatter around the GTSwarm boards. Here’s everything you need to know.
Volleyball Keeps Rolling
Georgia Tech Volleyball cruised past Boston College 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-14) to move to 13-5 overall and 5-2 in ACC play. Alida Bennour was the star of the show with 17 kills on 32 swings (.344) and 20 points, while Laura Bieleski was even more efficient with 12 kills on 21 swings for a .429 hit percentage. Heloise Soares dished out 31 assists, and Zoë Humphrey anchored the middle with 5 blocks and a team-best .467 hit percentage. It wasn’t Tech’s cleanest match — blocking was shaky at times — but once the Jackets found their groove in the second set, the Eagles had no answer. A ferocious pair of matchups with Pitt and SMU looms next weekend, so if you’re in town for homecoming, get to McCamish! Read the full recap at From The Rumble Seat.
