Hoops Tips Off, Football Debates Rage On

Happy Wednesday, Jackets fans! Here is your October 14, 2026 pulse check on what the Georgia Tech faithful are talking about. Today’s digest comes straight from the GTSwarm message boards, where football Saturdays, the start of hoops season, and fall ball are all competing for attention.

Football Talk: Officiating, Metrics, and the Game-Day Experience

The officiating conversation is alive and well, with fans breaking down roughing the passer calls and how they are being applied this season in the Roughing the passer thread.

Elsewhere on the board, the Other games 10/10/26 thread has fans tracking the rest of the slate and what the results around the country mean for Tech’s outlook.

For the numbers crowd, the 2026 Stat/Metrics Thread is the place to dig into advanced numbers and efficiency metrics as the season rolls on.

Not everything about game day is going over well: fans are weighing in on in-stadium audio levels in the Piped in music volume almost ruined experience thread. If you have thoughts about the atmosphere at Bobby Dodd, that is the conversation.

Basketball Season Is Here

Hoops is officially back in the mix. Fans gathered to react to the preseason matchup in the 10/11 MBB vs. Maryland (Preseason) thread, while the long-running GT Hoops General Topics thread remains the catch-all for everything basketball.

Media day and the preseason news cycle are covered in Preseason Media 2026, and for the uniform watchers, the Men’s Basketball Uniforms — Under Armour Era thread keeps cataloging the looks.

On the Diamond and Around the League

Baseball fans are keeping tabs on the program’s fall workouts in the Fall Ball thread, and the MLB Postseason Thread is where the board is following October baseball and the former Jackets in the pros.

Need Tickets?

If you are looking to get into a game this year — or have seats you cannot use — the 26-27 Tech Ticket Exchange is the fan-to-fan thread to check.
