Forbes and Niche Both Rank Tech Among the Nation’s Best

Georgia Tech is the No. 5 public school and No. 27 overall on Forbes’ 2027 list of America’s Best Colleges — and it carries the lowest tuition of any school in the top 30. President Ángel Cabrera noted in his recent Institute Address that, adjusted for inflation, attending Tech this year costs Georgia residents nearly $4,400 less than in 2019, a 27% reduction. The Forbes methodology weighs graduation rates, alumni earnings, and return on investment: 94% of Tech students graduate within six years and 75% within four, and ten years out, median salaries run 73% above the national average for four-year institutions. Forbes also singled out how schools are adapting to artificial intelligence, an area where Tech’s curriculum work helped earn it a place on the New Ivies list and its highest C-suite rating. Niche.com, meanwhile, gave the Institute an A+ and ranked it the No. 4 public university in the country. “A Georgia Tech education is one of the smartest investments a family can make,” Cabrera said. GT Arts Invites Audiences to ‘Imagine More’

Tickets are now on sale for the 2026-27 GT Arts Presents season, built around the theme Imagine More and spanning musical genres, artistic traditions, and creative disciplines. “The season intentionally welcomes a wide range of audiences by offering performances that appeal to different passions and perspectives,” said Associate Vice Provost for the Arts Jason Freeman. The season opens Friday, Sept. 18, with Atlanta soul act Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics — whose debut album reached No. 4 on the iTunes R&B chart — with the winning group from the GT Arts and Georgia Tech Musicians Network Battle of the Bands opening the show. On Friday, Oct. 9, cellist and composer Okorie Johnson performs as OkCello, layering live looping, improvisation, and storytelling alongside four large-scale video avatars of himself that gradually build into a full-band effect. CREATE-X Startup Ideas — Monday, Sept. 21

Student founders have a launchpad coming up: CREATE-X Startup Ideas runs Monday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Home Park – Exhibition Hall. Attendees pitch their startup concepts to a CREATE-X coach, get immediate and actionable feedback, meet potential co-founders, and learn what campus resources are available to help get a project off the ground.
