Lara Hodgson Named Executive Director of The Venture Arcade

Georgia Tech is thrilled to announce that Lara Hodgson, a distinguished alumna and serial entrepreneur, has been named the inaugural executive director of The Venture Arcade, Georgia Tech’s new startup accelerator. Hodgson brings over two decades of entrepreneurial leadership, capital markets expertise, and global operating experience to the role. Previously serving as CEO of RoxWrite and founder of Now Corp, she has built and scaled innovative companies while maintaining deep connections to the Georgia Tech community as a CREATE-X mentor and Harvard Business School entrepreneur-in-residence.

The Venture Arcade serves as a critical bridge for early-stage startup founders from Georgia Tech initiatives like CREATE-X, Quadrant-i, and Biolocity who are ready to scale their businesses. Located in Tech Square’s historic Biltmore Innovation Center, the accelerator will provide mentorship, infrastructure, strategic programming, and funding opportunities to propel deep-tech innovation. Hodgson’s vision is clear: to give Georgia Tech founders and local technology companies an “unfair advantage” through access to Georgia Tech’s unparalleled resources and her extensive network in capital formation and business development.
