In 2009 G. P. “Bud” Peterson took the helm as Georgia Tech’s 11th president, joined by Tech’s first lady Val Peterson. It marked the beginning of a decade of extraordinary service, leadership, and building on a trajectory of excellence. Highlights include advances built on the Strategic Plan, “Designing the Future,” Campaign Georgia Tech, scholarships, enhanced student services, campus and enrollment growth, partnerships, innovation neighborhoods and a strengthened international presence.
