Bobby Dodd Stadium

News that our venerable Stadium is about to undergo some repair work prompted us to think about how the oldest college stadium in NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision, has developed since it was created at the turn of 20th century by Fulton County Prisoners. It was first known as the Hollow, then The Flats. In 1913, it was christened Grant Field and the capacity was 5,300. In 1988, the Stadium was dedicated to Bobby Dodd and the capacity had grown to 46,000. Today, Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Field seats 55,000 and has seen more home wins than any of its ACC member Teams in the NCAA Division 1 FBS!

On top of that, as any Ramblin’ Wreck knows, it is a great place to watch football! Go Jackets!
